Nurses report at 7am: blood pressure holding steady, cranial pressure holding steady, fever reported at 100.8 That's better than waking up to a doctors order to get my tush down there right now. I'll take it.
Allan will have a CT scan at some point this morning. (in the medical field "this morning" means sometime today) We may or may not have results of that scan today. It will give us a better picture of if damage is still happening, or if damage is already done and we are moving on. I don't know how much detailed information we will get from this scan. Likely-not much.
We most certainly will not be able to give Big Al a "grade" or number until...if/when he is able to wake up on his own. And that will be when we get the most information.
So, CT scan today. We pray for his fever and that whatever is causing his fever will just be gone. Other than that we just hold steady and I will update with another check in this evening, or CT results if we get them today, or of course should things change in any direction.
I know that Vicki as well as another person on his list intend on seeing him today. I will go down there this evening, IF it seems it won't be too much for him. So he is covered in the "You are loved and not alone" department.
That means I can wash my pants today and not wear my pajamas in public the rest of the week. Perhaps I can put my groceries in the cupboards. I can give Corkie Bear some extra huggles.
I walked in the door after dropping kids off at school this morning and she barked her head off at me. The first she's said since we got her. That means she thinks she owns that corner of my kitchen now and I'm gutsy for coming in her space. She's got her pep back and isn't hiding in her blanket anymore. This silly little two pound disabled dog with so much spirit. I know why he loves her so much.
Putting one foot in front of the other.

All of us on the Vinculums team who have worked with Allan for the past 5 years are appreciating this man with the big heart and deeply loving circle of family and friends. Our prayer group in the southern CA office has you all covered (more importantly, God has you covered). Specifically I'm asking that Allan sense Jesus supporting him and flooding him with peace in a way the rest of us cannot begin to grasp right now. Big thanks to Randi for the clear, informative and regular posts.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your continual updates on Allan. We appreciate the information so much. Payers and love to Allan and family.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Randi, for the updates. Finding this blog is a blessing. Our prayers are with Allan. Scott tried to see him last night, and the hospital said only family. Now, we have more information. Thank you again, Randi.
ReplyDeleteFor Big Al...
Heavenly Father, Divine Mother, and Friend, Beloved, Jesus Christ. We are all one in love. I feel the presence of a healing, loving God beside Allan as he does his best to heal and find his way. I know God holds him in His hands and nurtures him as no human can. I am thankful for all that are pulling, praying, and loving Allan during this life challenge. And I let go and let God work Miracles in Allan's life.
May the love, light, and grace of Jesus Christ be with Allan always.
Randi, my prayers include you, as well as for Allan...I know the needs of those worried,no real answers & always waiting for test results of this or that...be strong & keep your faith & beliefs, my lady. God already knows the answers and will reveal them in time. Trust in Him, regardless of your minds desire for He knows what is best. In His Name, Karen Sterchi
ReplyDeleteDear Heavenly father:
ReplyDeleteI pray that you would bring comfort and healing to Al in a way that can not be understood. I know Father that in Christ we can do all things, and I pray that one of those things would be a total rehabilitation for Al. During this time I pray that Al will feel your peace and allow his body the kind of rest that it needs.
Father I also pray for the doctors and nurses that are caring for Al. I pray that their hands be steady and their decisions be made with your will in mind. I pray that their ability to care for Al amaze even themselves. Please watch over all that are taking care of Al.
Father, please also bring peace and comfort to Al's family during this process. Help them see your will in a way that is clear when decisions must be made. Help them remain calm and keep their spirits lifted.
Father I just lift Al, his family and all of the people caring for him to you. I pray we all see a wonderful example of your infinite grace that simply cannot be ignored. I especially lift his daughter Randi to you Lord. Please continue to give Randi the strength she has shown everyone by continuing to care for her Father while continuing to give you the glory.
In your precious Son's name, Jesus Christ I pray......
Thank you Randi for keeping us all updated. I believe that through the LORD all things are possible and pray for Allan's recovery, the good LORD has granted him recovery before and can do it again. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
ReplyDeleteRandi, thank you again for your strength these past few days. I continue to pray that through God anything is possible. I pray for Allan's recovery. He is an amazing person, like some one else said before..the Lord has granted him his recovery so anything is possible.
ReplyDeleteHang in there Randi, you are remarkable lady for continuing to update us during this time of uncertainty.
God bless, you, your mom, and your family.
Petra
