After the Memorial

Hi again all!

I was blessed -we- were blessed beyond belief at the mass of people (estimated about 400+) who honored Allan in this last bash! I was able to catch some pictures and even a short video of the Patriot Guard Riders as they picked up Vicki from her house and motorcycle escorted her to the church. I got very few additional pictures-however, there were camera's flashing all over the place...and yes...we did see Mike in the bushes snapping away didn't we? (oh yes, I really said that.)

In short if you have pictures of the memorial service, please forward them in email!(there's a link to the right) I will be posting in the next week a compilation of the pictures that I receive right here on the blog for those who were unable to make it to the service or want to look back on the day. I would guess an additional 50ish people have emailed me that could not come. It will also be a wonderful addition to a keepsake scrapbook I am making.

Stay tuned for information on a "Memorial Run" that is in the works for those that ride. This is in the early planning stages-patience is a virtue-but it will happen.

Thank you all again for attending, it was a treat getting to fill in some of the missing puzzle pieces of his life. I walked away today feeling like I knew him better than ever, which is a comfort right now that is indescribable.
Blessings and Love
Randi Fay

PS~if you have not yet gotten the opportunity to see it, here is a link to the local obituary and a legacy guest book where all are welcome to sign and comment. It will be up for a year at which time we will print it and add to the above mentioned scrapbook. Thanks so much!

  1. Did any see a dark out line of a man to the right of the cross, above the crossbeam. Lou, son, mentioned this shadow? Maybe Lou is 1 of few people PASSIng A BAG OF MONEY AND SAY TO THE BANDIT, I'M PRAYING FOR YOUR LOST SOUL.Both Allan & I expressed amazement at this type of smart-ass? reply. Allan impressed me that he should praise courage of a challenged indivivdual Let's me prideful Lou is the son doing a bit of courage not expected from a 7-11 register monster. Doing as called by Lou's Higher Power. Not many get's this recognition from Allan's wisdom of Allan's listening and learning.
Just had to get that in.
    Have FUN

  2. Randi, thanks for putting this ending up, and in advance for putting up photos, and to Vicki for getting footage of the ride with the Patriot Guard Riders up. I was unable to attend because I was (still) recovering from foot surgery, and I was so, so disappointed. I heard that you all did a wonderful job with the memorial service. Dave and I loved Allan so much and have cried many tears over his passing. He helped many, many people over the years, and our fellowship will miss him. Thanks for all of the work that you, Vicki, and everyone else did to honor him.
